if you check the stats of NLB, it has the same rate of fire AND impact of Her Benevolence and snipers alike. so why does it not do 417 damage?

Hopefully that arbitrary 365 will get left behind with The Taken King. I honestly would've loved to see an elemental stat on that weapon. It would surely make up for its shortcomings!

what kind of elemental did you have in mind? I was think void because "no land beyond" could be interpreted as literally nothing beyond the point of a black hole.

My thoughts exactly, not because of the name, which would be clever, but because void is the least represented primary elemental. If you haven't heard, there's a blueprint system image floating around the internet. It's basically an upgrade system for the year one exotics. I'll link it to the post. I HOPE they do some of these weapons justice in the update.
