Iron Banner Cheaters.
Today me and a group of people decided to run IB to get our bounties done for the day and ecetera. The funny thing was that in almost [u]every[/u] single match we played there was atleast one or 2 lag switchers that made the game overwhelmingly frustrating and unfair. The only reason we won most matches was because these kids that cheated ended up usually being trash anyways. Please bump this post if you'd like bungie to please address this blatantly obvious issue with the games pvp system in that it's extremely easy to lag other players out or even worse cause them to disconnect.[spoiler]thanks for reading.[/spoiler]

1 ReplyEdited by MOAB23: 7/29/2015 3:07:41 PMJust finished a round where we had laggers running through eight rounds of Hawkmoon, a titan who shoulder-charged SIDEWAYS to get clear and then one shot me, a warlock who flung a grenade from side of the map to the other for a perfect OHK, and the same warlock utilising multiple nova bombs within about two minutes. I also had a warlock who was shot before anything left their hand and still got killed by a non-existent nova bomb. Our entire team left it was so bad.

5 RepliesI don't think they're actually lag switchers, I think it's just the lack of dedicated servers and people's shit internet. I've played about 5 matches tonight and it's the usual IB lag. Worst I saw was the start of a match on the Anomaly. Dropped a lightning grenade on a dude trying to cap B to start and put a full magazine in his face and did nothing, but we slaughtered them. Yeah it sucks that there's so much of it (and particularly that Fusion Rifles are essentially worthless when there's lag), but I don't think they're cheating. The biggest issue is that lag shouldn't benefit those with red bars. I'm not a programmer so not sure workarounds to that, but it does suck when your FR does kill someone... Only it's 3 seconds after you've died. Now I did play a match where someone was 2 shotting with MIDA and put up 40 kills. Don't remember MIDA being a 2 shot kill before, could that possibly be legit (34 vs 34)?

I don't think there are as many laggy switchers as everyone make it out to be. Matchmaking should be based on connection like the Trials, the people with garage connection get paid with others with similar connection so the can lag against each other all day. I have played Trials every week and have only run into 5 or 6 laggy matches.

2 RepliesYou're right just one hour after the iron banner came out already had all the stuff for the Iron banner.And just like some of the people on this post said there are a lot of cheaters how can you play a game and you have a green bar and then it just in the middle of a match your whole teams connection bars drop to red bars and the other team stay green when you was just killing people just fine 10 minutes of the match I call bullshit and there's a lot of cheaters out here

1 ReplyI have a video where someone on the opposing team leaves the game or disconnects or lag switches but anyways we stayed in and still kicked their ass in Elimination, boy was I laughing hard, because it was a team of Randy's (Randoms and I) Vs an Osiris Team (They had the armor and shaders/weapons) oh and we came back after they won up to the 4th round haha.

3 RepliesI reported a lot of the switcher and cheaters today. To bad bungie will never do anything major about it. Unless it's their precious trial. Trial are so infested with switcher that it's not even worth playing anymore. This is bungie's last chance to turn this around for me. If TTK can't live up in moving to WarFrame, Fallout, or witcher. I had a "WTF am I even wasting my time?" moment of clarity when playing today. I don't nightfall, weekly, raid anymore. Got high grimiore but that don't mean shit....

4 RepliesI hate this term lag switch, I don't know of any device that can do this. There is a problem with pvp but it won't be solved by banning players with unstable connections as most still use wifi and routers with firewalls. Many players accuse others of lag switching when It could be in fact their own connection is unstable. Connection speed doesn't mean you have a good connection. If you are sharing a connection with others then there will always be stability issues. The only way to fix pvp is dedicated servers and a maximum ping limit.

this week we got the top who says there is no lag switching and cheaters but only weak server stuffs probably is using lag switches himself. its a fukking virus. and slowly is killing this wonderful game.... god why bungie wont to do something.... and of course there is also a huge problem with servers.... there are days when its impossible even patrol the moon :/

On Tuesday this week during the Iron Banner, there was a Lag Switcher that camped at B and did nothing. We couldn't kill him nor take the zone from him, so we could never get B. We then decided to just keep control of A and C, and LUCKLY we still won. I really, [b]REALLY,[/b] [b][u]REALLY,[/u][/b] HATE ALL THE LAGGERS!!!!! Bungie BETTER FIX THIS SOON IF NOT NOW!!!!!!! 90% of you guys are just talking about lag. It can be ridiculously bad lag, but it's still the normal type of lag. The term "lag switch" and lag are much different, know the difference. That op red bar that's running around killing everyone every game is most likely just lagging, he doesn't have a lag switch.
