The article you reference was released 29 Sept 2014.
You may not be aware but this article has received extensive discussion in the forums between Sep 2014 to Nov 2014.
Views at the time were basically;
1. Bungie developed more story;
2. Bungie or Activision decided not to release;
3. Folks wanted more story in game; and
4. Folks wanted Grimoire in game.

It doesn't change the ongoing relevance and with TTK it should be touted more than ever. Besides there are some who are relatively new to the forums regardless of how long they have been playing, so why not rehash it so others don't have to wade through dead posts to find something referencing this. Kinda fitting really. Rehashing a topic on Destiny's forums, rehashing is what the games all about no?

I think Destiny as a whole could benefit from some decent discussion and speculation as to how it could improve for the sequel, sadly I don't think Bungie pay much attention. It doesn't matter how much we plebeians yell it'll always fall on deaf ears.
