Thorn is very unbalanced, [i]the problem[/i] is if you don't use those exotics that you mentioned red death/TLW/Hawkmoon and not vex because of the recent nerf it got, then you are going to be screwed trying to go against thorn.
Thorn should be a 3 shot headshot, not 2. I am not asking for thorn to be nerfed either so don't think that. I am asking for other guns, specifically auto rifles, to be buffed back to when suros was in its glory days that way each weapon type could kill just as fast. Right now bungie seems to think that only 3/4 primaries belong in PVP, auto rifles are the 1/4 and this needs to be fixed.
That's the problem with thorn: it lowers weapon variety to a point where you [u]have[/u] to use those other guns to compete.
If thorn was balanced a good player would be able to kill someone with thorn with a blue scout rifle, but we all know that would never happen.

How am I getting screwed going against a weapon I beat almost every single time? That makes no sense.

With your KD I doubt you beat it every single time or even 80% of the time. I don't care what you say about coiled hiss because I could say the same thing about any gun and you wouldn't know if I was lying or not. If you are using CH then your facing terrible thorn users who do not know what they are doing.

None of my characters are under 1.0 and all my stats are better than yours (game score, most kills, precision kills, etc.) I challenge you: to go into a game of trials and your team all uses coiled hiss and the other team uses thorns. So 3 CH vs. 3 thorns and let's see who wins, I think we already know the answer. If you win that game I will believe that thorn is balanced.

3 CH could easily destroy 3 Thorn and vice versa. It's not the weapons, it's who pulls the trigger.
