As far as value for my investment I think it's good. This game has kept my attention for over 800 hours, that's an entertainment value of 10 cents per hour and I consider a bargain.
I do share you frustration on the other points except for the swords. In my opinion the swords drew too many high level players into low level areas and never should have been there to begin with. Plus the 3 swords on Fist of Crota takes like 5 minutes (spawn, ride past enemies, kill sword bearrer, go to orbit, rinse and repeat) and you can complete 2-3 other bounties while your there.
The grimoire is a complete waste, I personally don't look for ghosts and don't play PvP unless I'm doing gun bounties. But yes I have done activities where the grimoire card did not unlock and I have gotten level 300 weapons after TDB from PvP. It's frustrating and it should be fixed among a host of other issues but that would take a few more paragraphs.
As for 100's of players on your PSN, it's not necessary. Congrats by the way on having a wife that games. I shared your wifes point of view until recently and this is what I did. Made a couple of friends, remember these frinds have friends. One or 2 friends can get you 10-20 more players for end of game content. Find people that you like that play what you like to play and are on when you are. Make your own small Clan.

LOL Thanks for the congrats on the wife playing games hahaha that is actually how I met her she is 51 a fitness junky and I am 38 unemployed from DoD well we met on myspace but it started off in chats about video gaming LOL She kicks ass too her fav is Uncharted 2. She gets pissy not being able to reach 32 light lvl without me going on there and grabbing people from the forums to get through raids for her or soloing it handicapped which by the way is a great challenge to clear crota at lvl 31 with no weapons worth a crap..

I forgot to mention and you have to agree with the way these game companies are handling these xpacs they release now. It went from something a game company would do to give the customer more playing time and adventure while still making a buck or two to a real money marketing scheme where they have the content already created before game launch. I personally know for a fact that dark below was created along side the finalization of the game. So this is the path these game companies are taking now it seems to be a trend that is really unsettling and needs to be stopped.

I agree that the game and 2 dlc's should have been the original game or the dlc's should have been free. I'm not sure if this was Bungies or Activisions idea but it seems to follow the COD platform for content release. Playstation has said that they are not going to allow games for there systems that are made that way. Or games that are not fully playable upon release. Hopefully they will stand by their word to ensure we are getting our moneys worth.

You can not get light lvl 32 without buying the xpass or xpacs that alone should violate PS's policy then.

It should but Destiny was already released before the crackdown. They made that statement around November. Should have made it a long time ago. I did get a free expansion for Dragon Age, they even sent me 4 emails to confirm the download was free. Maybe Bungie should be watching out.

Yeah they should have made that clear before the ps4 was released. Dragon Age was a fun game I still revisit it from time to time on the ps3. Well I am about to get on Destiny now I guess and run all the stuff on my three characters for the week. Add me if you want PSN# RexFollett

Yea I hear ya I just had to blow some steam cause I know what the company makes in profits and I know they have the personnel and ability to already patch out and fix a plethora of issues with the game of which they didn't do. And the price value ratio just doesn't cut it. It does not add up even close in my opinion. But you know like I said I do agree with you and I may be jumping the gun cause my cost to value won't fully be redeemed until the last Xpac from the pass is released. I will revisit my opinions upon release of house of wolves and see then. But to be honest it is not looking good in my eyes.
