Fist kills everything in its radius, even if its behind a wall or a decent bit above the impact site, heck, even if its above them through a floor. Nova does as well, but as other people pointed out, you can kill yourself with nova bomb, you can't with fist, and Nova takes much longer to fully fire, and fist gives ridiculous damage resistance, even without the perk. I've seen a titan use their fist because I stuck them, and they didn't even kill me cause I was far enough away, completely wasted just to survive a grenade and have me kill them a second later. Melee, fist, shoot them with one bullet from an AR, fist. There are panic nova's, but generally it happens far less than with titans, and a lot of times you can still kill them, either before launch or at least take them with you.

But as I've been saying, people rarely kill themselves with the nova. Also, while you can't kill yourself, you can -blam!- up or miss judge your fist (as in your example. Half the time I can't even tell when I'm stuck so I wouldn't be able to do anything in time) way easier than with nova because you have less time and because it's crucial that they don't do damage to you first otherwise they have a fair shot of actually killing you mid fist. And I'm not trying to deny that fist of panics aren't there often, they are, but the nova bomb is there too. If you ask me, they're very similar in nature.

the best example is, a titan and a warlock are about 10 yards away from you and have a sliver of health, you are in both their kill ranges for their super. You've done enough damage that they're both down to a sliver of the red bar. A titan can activate fist, take several bullets and still kill you and survive, a warlock will most likely die before they even get the bomb off much less survive it. Another example, you melee a titan all they have to do is stop moving hit their super, and even if you're behind them they will kill you and live. A warlock can still take you out if they use nova and launch straight down, but if they do that they will most likely take themselves out in the process as with a second melee you'll have done enough damage. Yes there are panic bombs, but they still don't feel as cheap as a panic fist.

In the sliver of health option it seems like using a bullet would be the best option. And when you're out of those, a warlock melee (if Titan is really at that low of health) could take him out (would be cool to see too). As for the warlock aiming down thing, I've shoulder charged both titans and warlocks while they're doing it and no, the warlocks sadly don't kill themselves

I'm not saying its impossible to stop a titan using fist, but it is generally harder than a warlock using Nova. I actually have a clip somewhere of me taking out three titans all of whom try to FOH me, and I wouldn't even say they were panicking, just trying to stop me as I still had my HMG, Though I think two of the kills were on the same guy.

I agree, it is harder. Also, dam, I'm not even the guy you fought and I know how pissed off I'd feel if I got got twice

I was both WTF and very pleased. I'm not saying it was very skilled as all I did was cut them down with heavy, but still, three in a row, each one in the jump animation for Fist.
