Was only effective at first. Plasma pistol charge was useless if you weren't in the open. It was slow moving and easy to dodge by reacting and dipping behind cover. The "combo" disappeared from the meta after 6 months. Sadly, I don't see HC/shotty having the same fate.

Never could get the hang of that combo. But man, was it ever devestating.

Pro tip use it on the first mission on halo two. Makes it alot easier on legendary.
