Will someone explain to me the method of waiting in orbit to keep your rank

Some say it is some say it isn't? Not too sure ha but I was just curious as to how you do it since I got to rank 5 last time

you basically glimmer farm till 15 minutes before the reset then stay in orbit. At about 2 minutes after reset then you go into the tower (do not log out of your profile or go into any other missions) your iron banner should be rank five if you ranked up enough:)

But they said ib will start at 10pacific this time isnt this iron banner a but different timing to even do this
