To sum it up via Alduin's Wall prophecy; Arena's events: Jagar Tharn impersonated The Emperor by imprisoning him in Oblivion with the Staff of Chaos and powerful magical illusions, broke the staff, and scattered the three-four (forget specifically, could be more) pieces across Tamriel. A prisoner collects the pieces, remakes the staff, uses it to free The Emperor, and kills Jagar Tharn, becoming the Eternal Champion. Daggerfall's events: The Emperor learns of unrest within High Rock, specifically Daggerfall, and sends an old friend of his to see what's the matter. The friend gets shipwrecked while on his way to Daggerfall, and must fight his way out of Privateer's Hold. After getting to Daggerfall proper, he does a whole bunch of fetch-quests/story progression quests for the various lords of Daggerfall, Wayrest, and helps the warlord of Orsinium. Eventually he puts King Lysandus's ghost to rest (part of aforementioned unrest) and finds the Mantella Crux, and the Totem of Tiber Septim. At this point a "Dragon Break" occurs, commonly referred to as the Warp in the West. Basically, 8 different outcomes all happen at once, through space-and-time--blam!-ery-magic. Orsinium becomes a proper kingdom, Wayrest and Daggerfall, gain politcal power, Mannimarco, King of Worms ascends to godhood, Zurin Arctus, previous Imperial Battlemage is laid to rest, and 3 other outcomes I either forgot or never learned about, along with the friend being named Hero of Daggerfall. Morrowind's events: The Nerevarine does some things for the Blades, becomes infected with Corprus, is cured, becomes Hortator of Houses Redoran, Hlaalu, and Telvanni, Nerevarine of Urshilaku, Ahemmusa, Zainab, and Erebenimsun ashlander tribes, speaks with Vivec, learns how to use Wraithguard, Keening, and Sunder to destroy the Heart of Lorkhan to defeat Dagoth Ur, and does so. After that, they are attacked by the Dark Brotherhood, go to Mournhold, kills loads of them, does a bunch of stuff for King Helseth and Almalexia, and eventually has to fight and kill Almalexia because she went insane and wanted to murder the Nerevarine to somehow fulfill her desire to continue being a goddess. Sometime during all of this, either before or after, the Nerevarine went to Solstheim, did some things for the Legion garrison, the Skaal, and beat a daedric lord at his own game, preventing Hircine from having his Hunt for that Bloodmoon. Oblivion's events: A prisoner gets lucky, sees the Emperor die, takes the Amulet of Kings to Jauffre, finds Martin in Kvatch, saves the city, becomes it's hero, takes Martin to Jauffre/loses the amulet of kings at the same time/Cloudruler Temple, finds some Mythic Dawn cultists, steals copies of a series of books and uses them to find their secret base, kills most if not all of the Mythic Dawn, finds and brings the Mysterium Xarxes to Martin, kills some spies, stops an invasion of Bruma by the Daedra, gives a Daedric artifact to Martin and the Armor of Tiber Septim for a ritual to open a portal to Paradise, finds and kills Mankar Camoran, gets the Amulet of kings back, goes to the Imperial City, it gets invaded, they go to the Temple of the One, Martin sacrifices himself, Akatosh kicks Mehrunes Dagon's ass back into oblivion, and the Hero of Kvatch is named Champion of Cyrodiil. They also quest for the Crusader Relics, re-instates the Knights of the Nine, and become the Divine Crusader incarnate to fight and defeat, permanently, Umaril the Unfeathered. After this they find a portal to the Shivering Isles, go to the Isles, kill the Isles Gatekeeper, do a bunch of stuff for Sheogorath, become a ruler of either Mania or Dementia, make another Gatekeeper, help either the Golden Saints or Dark Seducers, fix the Staff of Sheogorath, who then turns into Jyggalag, they fight Jyggalag, beat him, and become Sheogorath. Skyrim's events: A prisoner escapes death via Alduin deciding to show off that he's returned, who then goes to Whiterun and talks to Jarl Balgruuf, gets a heavy rock inscribed with dragon language and burial sites for the court mage, is sent to kill a dragon, kills the dragon, learns how to shout, goes to High Hrothgar, learns from the Greybeards a bit, goes to find the Horn of Jurgen Windcaller, finds a note, goes to Riverwood, talks to Delphine, takes the Horn, goes back to the Greybeards, then proves to Delphine they're Dragonborn, infiltrates the Thalmor Embassy for her, finds notes for her, then she points the Dragonborn towards Esbern. They find Esbern in the Ratways under Riften, defend him against a Thalmor kill team, and helps Delphine and Esbern secure Sky Haven Temple in the Reach. After that they learn of Dragonrend, ask the Greybeards, insists it will help, and is directed to Paarthurnax. Upon reaching the Summit of the Throat of the World, they meet Paarthurnax, the leader of the Greybeards and an ancient Dragon from the Dragon War. After being told to find an Elder Scroll, they talk to a mad hermit, help him get a lexicon encoded with knowledge of the Elder Scroll, and take the Elder Scroll back to the Throat of the World, reads it in the Time Wound, learns Dragonrend from a vision of the past, and then fights Alduin, forcing him to retreat to Skuldafn and to Sovngarde beyond his portal. After either helping the Imperials win the Civil War, or the Stormcloaks, or negotiating a peace agreement for the time being, the Dragonborn captures a dragon in Dragonsreach, lets it go, and is flown to Skuldafn by it. After fighting their way to the portal, they go to Sovngarde, pass Tsun's test and enter the Hall of Valor, meeting Ysgramor of Nord Legend, and Haakon One-Eye, Felldir the Old, and Gormlaith Golden-Hilt. Together they leave the Hall, clear away Alduin's Ensnaring Mist, and eventually the Dragonborn vanquishes Alduin before returning to Skyrim with Tsun's help. WHEW! That's the main story of The Elder Scrolls in a nutshell. I'm surprised the Skyrim segment is the longest, though it was a bit more detailed than the other segments in places. I actually had huge paragraphs written up for Morrowind and Oblivion, but I went past the 10k character limit apparently. Heh. Ah well. Editted a few mistakes I noticed. I originally posted this at around 1:39 my time, so some small details were missed.

  • So, who exactly was Alduin though? You mentioned first you summed it up from Alduins wall prophecy, so is his prophecy the events from all the Elder Scrolls games?

  • Espada talks a little bit about Alduin, but doesn't describe him much. Alduin is a giant, black dragon with red eyes and vicious horn-like scales covering his body, and seemingly demonic, zig-zag like horns on his head. On his return to the physical realm,( after several thousand years floating through time because of Felldir the Old using the same Elder Scroll the Dragonborn uses to banish him) he assaults Helgen. Whether this was in an attempt to kill the Dragonborn before they become a threat or just showing off can only be speculated though. During the events of Skyrim, it's found out that ALL (or extremely damn close to all) dragons had been dead, buried in ancient burial mounds for thousands of years and that Alduin is raising them from the dead, leaving them entirely fine from the ordeal of being dead, because dragon souls are immortal compared to a Nord or High Elf. Delphine and the Dragonborn actually interrupt Alduin during one resurrection at Kynsegrove, and as Alduin completes the ritual he speaks to the dragonborn in the Dragon Language before speaking to them in a language they understand. After the fight on the Throat of the world, where Alduin cannot be harmed by any mortal means besides using Dragonrend to temporarily make Alduin mortal, the Dragonborn finds Alduin in Sovngarde, where he eats the souls of the Nord Honored Dead to regain his power. That is why there is an Ensnaring Mist, to delay the souls of the dead and cause them to become lost or stuck, and allow Alduin to devour them. He is also the First Born of Akatosh, by his own proclamation, and is the Eldest Dovah and brother to Paarthurnax, by his account, respectively. I can't think of many more prominent details about Alduin that may not be tucked away in a dialogue somewhere, or a book, but that's basically the big picture of Alduin. And as Espada said, Alduin is The World Eater, and comes to devour the world at the End Times.

  • Alduin's Wall is a large Akaviri mural found within Sky Haven Temple, dating back to the First Era. It is considered to be one of the best preserved examples of early Akaviri sculptural relief, as well as a wonder of the ancient world. It depicts many large events throughout history before they happen. Alduin, the World Eater, is one of the Oldest Dragons in history and the main Antagonist in TES V: Skyrim.

  • So do Alduins Wall and Alduin the dragon have anything in common? Or are they not related.
