BLAM EVERYONE WHO XURNED TLW!
Jk, -blam!- everyone who says shit like that. I have more respect for you if you bought weapons from xur and here's why...
People who "earn" stuff from RNG do this by:
-Completing the nightfall (15-20 mins)
-Killing the Death singer (5 minutes)
-Killing Crota (5-10 mins)
-Opening VoG chest (20 seconds)
-Killing Atheon (5-10 minutes)
-Getting lucky in crucible or strikes (10 mins)
-Being carried/AFK in pve
-Going negative as shit in pvp
People who "xurn" stuff do this by:
Completing 2-3 level ~30 weekly heroics (15-20 mins)
Getting lucky means you didn't work for it so that isn't earning. The most amount of time to complete one of the many ways to possibly receive an exotic is 20 minutes.
The amount of time it takes to get enough coins to buy an exotic from xur is between 40 minutes to an hour. Add about 10 minutes worth of loading time and switching characters/weapons. I'd say playing for 50 minutes to an hour means you worked harder than the guy that spent 20 minutes and got lucky. In any case, the guy that put in more time for a guaranteed result earned it, not the guy that got lucky.
TL;DR: Xurners are actually the real earners

I know how to play efficiently so I do I get allot of engrams, weapons/armor experience, glimmer and other consumables as well as STRANGE COINS and MOTES OF LIGHT. What do I do with them? I am glad you asked. I march my ass right over to xur and spend my EARNED coins and motes on whatever he has that I want! HOWZ THAT! Anybody with me out there? -blam!- you crybaby ass xurned/earned Whiney ass scrubs!

The RNG activities you listed don't guarantee an exotic drop so the completion times you've stated are irrelevant. You're also only accounting for the best case scenario. Guaranteed. For literally doing nothing. Skill is irrelevant with guaranteed drops as much as it is with RNG. Either both methods of obtaining exotics are "earning", or neither are. There's no doubt that xurning is the easier method though.

11 RepliesEarners - did a raid got TLW. Real life equivalent - walked to the betting shop. put a bet on a horse because you liked its name, and it won. Bought a TV with the money. Happy days a free TV. Xurners - bought TLW with your coins. Real life equivalent - worked 42+ hours over 5 days to be able to afford the TV you wanted. Happy days your hard work payed off. At the end of the day who really cares, it's all RNG. And its only a game..

I kinda enjoyed a game where a lot players on the other team was using TLW because most of them didn't know how to use it properly. If someone is lagging really bad and he's using a tlw, you better quit the match lol (unless you don't care about you k/d)
