Is Omnigul Over Powered?
Omnigul spams incredibly fast as do all witches/warlocks. I find the 2 activities concerning Omnigul (Defend Rasputin & Kill Omnigul) harder to finish than other activities without Omnigul. What does Bungie research find on completion rates of these 2 activities?
Edit 1: Just saying I want to know what other players do to successfully complete this activity. To those of you who have given that advice, thank you very much.
Edit 2: The Community is great. Thanks to those of you who shared load outs and/or strategy.

Wait for her to spawn in. 3 players with shotguns can kill her in 20 seconds. Titan flashbangs help ALOT.

1 ReplyShe might just have too much overshield or health. Killing her isn't a problem so much as how long it takes. The Nightfalls for her are stupid long.

2 RepliesOmnigul's presence in Sieges of the Warmind is brief. Pop her in the face a few times and she disappears. For the strike, I seldom leave this one. As for strategy it depends if it is a nightfall or not. If so, depends on the burn to determine how reckless I get. If not, I have no strategy other than making Omnigul dead. Some days it's shotgun, others it's rockets/mg, others it's pop radiance and spam nades everywhere. All depends on how the add AI is reacting I suppose.

11 RepliesHowever there's an easier way to beat her.. 2 or 3 man FT preferably. Lower levels this is good for you.. There is an elevated room that you can jump into on the other side of her little runway. All jump in there as your out of the way from thrall ect and also most arcs of fire.. You can jump up on the pile of junk on the covered side of the room which will completely cover you from all damage! If one jumps up there and acts as a medic, the others can then repeatedly just hammer her health down.. It won't take anyone out of the fun as you can rotate that roll so everyone has a chance to fire.. It's tried and tested and my preferred way to do it.. Hope this helps? And for any haters that think they know it all YOU CANT ARGUE TACTICS.. Everyone has they're own way and what's best for them that's just mine and I'm only trying to help others

Well for my sunsinging war lock...I jump up there and shoot her till I'm almost dead..jump down help clear mobs..go back when full health..repeat..and if I ever get caught up there I throw my many grenades then pop down and wait till supers back up then repeat what I was doing. I usually have thunderlord and a nice shotgun when I'm up there hitting her.

It's a bit of a joke to say the rewards are normally crap but.. If this was changed then maybe it would be worth while but otherwise I'd have to say just a little..

1 ReplyIn the Rasputin mission, just give her a wide berth until she retreats into the control room. If you're doing the Strike, take out as many of her minions as possible without getting in range of her little lightning orbs, then hit her with an Arc special or heavy. I don't think she's overpowered, I think she's just a bit more challenging and different to handle than other bosses.

Honestly man, it's just figuring out how to bring her down quickly. As long as arc burn isn't on, I usually pop a bubble right up on the deck with her and shotgun the crap out of her and she's done in about a minute.

Thunderlord is great for Omnigul if you have it. You can also run to the other side of her in that little room and jump up in there. There's a safe spot on the urn things where one person shoots and the other revives. Defend Rasputin I jump up on the big cables with lower characters or around that lower level corridor. Edited by XTempistX: 4/18/2015 2:40:49 AMMy load out Void Walker Three Little Words (rangefinder and glass half full) - Two to the Morgue (solar, full auto and luck of the chamber) - Gjallarhorn I run straight forward dropping the boomer at the back. From there she gets two shotgun shots to drop shield. Next, just primary fire. Any enemy that decides that they want to defend her gets a Two to the Morgue. When she screams and makes Wizards come out, two Gjallarhorn rockets are fired. Then she gets more primary fire and the enemies that decide that they want to come up and try to save her gets Two to the Morgue again. I keep the super ready in case I get over run which never happens if I'm playing with friends. With randoms, it happens way too often sadly... I do this over and over the same way every time. Ever since I've been doing it this way with my fire team (no players from matchmaking), she dies in two minutes. Sometimes even faster depending on which friends I play with. If I end up with a match made game, it takes forever in comparison because I'm usually the only one laying consistent damage to her while the randoms sit in the first room like scared mice. Rasputin Same set up Spawn kill all the smaller enemies as best as you can. Use a rocket launcher. Any will work as long as its upgraded. Take down the Wizards safely. Do this over and over till you fight the ogre. Blast the ogre with precision damage using any high impact primary weapon you have and he'll take a knee over and over. He'll die pretty fast.

Use an arc gun for everything then she will be easy i have noticed she has more health than any other boss

1 ReplyOriginally I didn't mind omnigul but after all the times it came up as nightfall and it comes up for me more than any other strike I'm getting tired of it.
