Everyone going crazy because 343 killed rookie. No one went insane when noble 6 died. Sure, its sad and the bit where he has no family to return to hits you where it hurts but these things happen in games. All the time.

  • Rookie was an ODST, 6 was a Spartan. A Spartan 3 to be precise, and the 3's were basically mass produced above average soldiers who were all sent on suicide missions. The Spartan 3s of Noble team (plus a few others) were pulled out before their company's mission for the sole purpose of Noble team, they were better then the rest of the pack. But in the end they were expected to lay down their lives for humanity. Rookie being an ODST was basically expected to either die fighting or retire and settle down. Fans wanted the former. What I'm saying is, 6's death was expected (seeing as they also showed his/her broken helmet first thing), Rookie's death was unexpected and unwanted.

  • True, but if a death is unexpected, than surely that means it has more impact? Maybe thats what 343 wanted. Im also pretty sure they won't kill the arbiter off as some are saying.
