You could probably use the browser on your console, if it has one.

It would be good if they added this in-game, but for now it's better than nothing so I'm not complaining; just glad to be able to do this. As Maxy said, you could use the browser on your console. Also, any cheap Android alternative to an iPod touch (or of course an iPod touch) will work.

As I said, in order to use the browser on Xbox 360 you need to go to dashboard, which exits the game. Seems a bit counterproductive wouldn't you say? It also seems rather expensive to purchase a new phone for this functionality when my current one works just fine for all phone related use. You're right, it is better than before the update, and I'm not complaining either. But the fact is I am unable to utilize this feature due to the reasons I previously stated. The companion app requires Android 4.0, and I'm on 2.3(There is no upgrade for my phone)

That sucks. Sounds like you fall into a very small percentage of people who have neither a modern mp3 player, smartphone, laptop, or console to take advantage of this. My guess is they didn't integrate this feature in the game perhaps because that would have been dramatically more difficult whereas this may have been very easy for them to whip up and integrate to quickly placate everyone with some sort of vault improvement which has obviously been the subject of much disappoint for everyone. I do hope they include it into the game though, as that would obviously be ideal.

That means switching out of the game (Xbox360 here)

That would certainly be a problem. Wasn't sure how it worked on other consoles, on X1 you can run the game and browser simultaneously.

Ugh... laptop? Hahaha.

I hate laptops, far too fragile. Last one I had was sent for repairs every three months or something.
