As you stated it doesn't bother you because you use pulse rifles which had their stats improved if I read the update info correctly. Considering the scope upgrades the auto rifles can receive I think it's fair to have the guns work beyond the medium range. I'm amazingly skilled at close combat and put a lot of time into upgrading my auto rifle, so I feel justified in being unhappy almost all weapons had their stats lowered. If the guns were meant to work the way they did...why release them that way? It's a video game which is programmed to work in specific ways so they could have easily worked on this before we got used to our weapons being...good/useful. I don't feel I'm whining I just don't feel like they have a good enough reason to do this but considering it's their game we don't exactly have a choice plus I can't complain too much as I love Destiny overall.

And as for the Scope upgrades, they actually change the stats on the weapons when you equip them. So if you have a Scope and your enemy has Iron Sights for example, your gun will have a better range and if you started shooting first and you both hit your marks, you'd win. Also, I think people think that the weapons have been nerfed, but they haven't. The only one to take a damage reduction is the Auto Rifles, and it's by a tiny amount that you can't notice unless it's at a distance.

  • Not it's not. Low firing high impact autos were nerfect more than 10%. Vanquisher went from 353 per head shot to 303

  • No, they weren't. The damage reduction is per clip, not per round. Hence why high RoF Autos took less of a damage reduction.

  • Have you used a low rof auto since the patch? I have a vanquisher and am telling you precision damage went from 353 to 303. Thats a reduction of more than 10%. ROF seems the same to me. More than 10% reduction in damage per round means more than 10% less damage per clip.
