Its not just ISIS. The Muslim religion itself promotes violence. Maybe not all Muslims, but the Muslim religion in itself is pretty evil.

That is correct and I agree. Context is very important, that's why when I have questions about Islam I ask actual Muslims instead of listen to sources like that website link you gave up there which are extremely bias. But I am happy to see that there are other people who will engage in a good discussions instead of just spewing out hate speech that are figments of their own prejudices.

True, that link is biased but not a fabrication. That is real text for the Quran. A lot of people like to say that we take things like that out of context but in what context is okay to murder people who believe in a different God than you, you know? Or to kill people for leaving the religion? Of course moderate Muslims don't kill people. But that means they aren't really following the Quran the way it was originally intended then are they? I just think that there is a much larger percentage of Muslims who are fundamentalists than pretty much any other religion. Christian fundamentalists scare the crap out of me, too.

Fundamentalist of any religion are very dangerous. I feel though the number is not a directly because of Islam. (Probably more dependent on the political instability left by imperialism) It is still also a small percentage. Plus the link they definitely cherry picked the verses they want. These religious books are huge. And I could find lots of verse that would make any religion seem barbaric.

I do know what I am talking about. I just want to know by what means others are coming to their conclusions. I am not a Muslim so when I have a question about their religion I ask a Muslim. You wouldn't go to an atheist that hates Catholics to learn about Catholicism would you?

Yes I know about that. The weird thing about that is that it differs greatly region to region because lots of it is up to local interpretation. Therefore most regions it is very moderate and really only is used for personal law. But the only ones you really hear about are the really extreme and radical ones which are pretty bad. That still is only really used by a very small amount. They're like very harsh Amish.

Well according to christianity you would have to stone to death at least half the population...if not the vast majority. Can't blame specific Muslims for following their religion how they interpret it. You live in a comfy house in a privileged country... Imagine growing up in a war-torn part of the world were governments hardly last a decade and you are constantly being invaded, attacked, or occupied by others...

You do realize the Old Testament is a part of the bible right? Maybe you should learn more about your own belief. You don't get to choose to believe half of the bible. You guys already chose which books were allowed to be in it.
