Upon further inspection "lupi" is italian for wolves.
Alphi lupi is also the the brightest star in the lupus constellation ( wolf )
Lupi is also latin origin of lupus and is sometimes used in a plural way...alpha, beta, etc.
So the wolves on the armor makes more sense...but a parallel is the gallajorn which has a bunch of wolves on it and some titan marks have wolves as well...
Not forgetting the iron banner event rewards have wolves all over.
So alot of wolves imagery pop up.
Is alpha lupi a single guardian or an elite group...like the iron lords...and why only alpha crests for titans and hunters?

Good points...I need to double up on my reading. Can anyone give an explanation on why so many "dreams of alpha lupi" are carried by different dead ghosts ...was the information passed word of mouth...ghost to ghost... Or is it just a developer over sight...

Ghorn has wolves on it bc it was made by the remnant armor left after the battle of twilight gap where Ana bray fell while wearing her crest of alpha lupi the main component of ghorns materials.

Edited by Omega Orochi: 2/20/2015 11:25:37 PMWolves are a figurative way of saying Guardians. As you mentioned the constellations/stars, etc., this would refer to the brightest and best or most elite of Guardians. Brightest being the key word because we are all filled with the Light. So as for an elite group? In a way. But not any specific one, because in Destiny, everyone can be "the brightest". Sidenote: Alpha and Beta are also used as terms for the two lead wolves in a pack
