Just did VoG for the first time
It was incredible. Undoubtedly the most fun and intense thing I have done yet in this game. I know I sound like a noob, but i don't even care because I had so much fun doing the raid.
Not to mention I found Light of the Great Prism, Kabr's Wrath, and the Chatterwhite shader so I'm pretty happy for my Titan
EDIT: wow I can't believe all of the positivity in the comments. I definitely believe the forums need more awesome commenters like you guys. Eyes up, Guardians.
EDIT 2: 400+ comments!!! I'm so glad my little Vault adventure has sparked such a great response from the community. I absolutely love it when I see people who care on these forums. I love hearing your first VoG experiences, so keep on sharing your stories, Guardians!!!

3 RepliesJust got my Icebreaker and I almost will have my Devil you know maxed out and I just got to level 30! I'll be raiding too! Hopefully the Mythoclast isn't too far off for myself :)

I agree, VOG is best part of destiny. If you need a guide for VOG, send me a message. FYI, You need to be 30± for hard.

1 ReplyThat's awesome dude. It has to be the pinnacle of destiny. As good as this game has gotten and hopefully the future is better. It's fun, epic and takes teamwork, inbetween you can be rewarded with still some of the best weapons in the game. Fatebringer and VoC are mainstays in most arsenals even at 300 dmg Crota is awesome but feels more like a strike, there isn't the grandness of VOG I hope Arena is amazing and difficult with puzzles and the best weapons and armies we have yet to see. Also diff armor sets, maybe 3 so we all don't look like carbon copies of each other.

Yes VoG is very fun! However, be prepared for disappointment with Crota's End. While it has some neat aspects, overall it is quite boring and easy. Not to mention the fact that hard mode is glitchy as hell and can sometimes make it unplayable. But it looks nice I guess.

Awesome man. That's how I felt after my first completion. You did it son! Now you can sit back and revel in your new ship and likely shards. That shard pile is going to blow up. You'll be able to swim through it like Scrooge McDuck!

Way to go! I remember when the raid first dropped, we were struggling to make it through and we didn't know anything. We didn't complete it then, but the mystery of it all was what made it fun.

I wish they would buff the gear and make this raid relevant again after HoW drops. For example making the vanguard gear rank 32 vault of glass gear 33 and the reef raid 34 therefore bringing new life to this raid which is easily one of the best high level activities in the game. Maybe a buff to the weapons? Probably won't happen but hey you can dream right? It would sure make use of the ascendant materials I have.
