Just did VoG for the first time
It was incredible. Undoubtedly the most fun and intense thing I have done yet in this game. I know I sound like a noob, but i don't even care because I had so much fun doing the raid.
Not to mention I found Light of the Great Prism, Kabr's Wrath, and the Chatterwhite shader so I'm pretty happy for my Titan
EDIT: wow I can't believe all of the positivity in the comments. I definitely believe the forums need more awesome commenters like you guys. Eyes up, Guardians.
EDIT 2: 400+ comments!!! I'm so glad my little Vault adventure has sparked such a great response from the community. I absolutely love it when I see people who care on these forums. I love hearing your first VoG experiences, so keep on sharing your stories, Guardians!!!

Congrats man! I actually love getting matched up with randoms during the raid. Makes it more fun. Have a lot of laughs. Definitely a blast.

Did my first two days ago as well. It's definitely one of the high moments of video games I've played. Haven't played Crota yet, but the Vault was amazing. The hardest parts weren't even the ones with any enemies. Getting down that hole, stumbling around in the pitch black, and getting across the canyon was one of the hardest things I've ever done in a game. Atheon was a very tough fight as well, it took our group 4 tries I believe. A friend and I went through with a group that always raids together and didn't mind teaching. They do both raids, on both difficulties with multiple characters each. We all had mics and told me exactly what they wanted me to do. Ended up taking a handful of shards and energy, the Shattered Vault cloak, a Hard Light exotic auto rifle, the Vision of Confluence scout rifle, and the Chatterwhite shader

Too bad raids are the only fun thing to do in this game. Havent done the strike playlist or a daily in months.

VOG is the best part of this game. The first time that I did it was extremely frustrating and fun at the same time. I really hope that bungie makes the reef raid as good as VOG.

VOG is jus that, an adventure...only after I completed it did I start to really play destiny, Crota is wack compared to tha vault

Congratulations! And I absolutely agree, the first time was one of the greatest moments in my video game history. We just did hard mode but sadly none of us got anything from it, still it's fun as hell. Keep on raiding, guardian! :-)

VOG definitely set a high standard for Bungie. I hope they can deliver again with HoW.

I done my first raid yesterday and loved it, I know I did it with random people from the forums on here but it was brilliant lol had way too much fun then I should got some decent weapons shame I walked away with 2 found verdicts at the end of it but got new scout rifle and armour shader

VoG > Crotas End Had so much fun doing VoG and still do if playing with friends, crota is too much of a chore

The first tile time I did VoG on hard it was just the atheon part and I got the vex mythoclast and the ship and the shader. My friends that game were all jelly cause they've done the hard raid a number times before and never gotten while I just joined for this one part and got it. Haaa. Maxed it out in 2 days!

I've only done it all the way through once. Got chatterwhite and ascendant materials but I didn't care at all because of how fun it was. 4 of us in the group had never done it so we died so many times and it took hours. The 2 who knew what they were doing were really nice and didn't mind the fact that we noobs. I'm always down for doing it again - hopefully on hard this time aaha

We had a great sword bearer who stuck with it even though not all of us had GH hahahaa and we got it done TWICE coz one of the guys bombed with network problems, we waited and did it again just for him. Haven't been in VOG yet but I heard it is great fun.
