2-3 months to get every item....REALLY! Your post was good until that came out; Its RNG. I could grind for 5 years and not receive every item or even the ones I want. When are you people going to understand?

Let me clarify, every item they need, not every single item in the game based on want. So, all Crota armor, and at least one weapon of each type from Crota.

Exotics being traded is just a bad idea in general, which is why I didn't use it as a thing to obtain within that amount of time.
