Do people start rumors about you?
Because I'm not a very noteworthy person but apparently there's some rumor going on about me
Some background; our band is taking a trip to DC in 3 months. I also have a friend who I'm pretty much always around, but there's nothing really romantic between us. At least I don't think so. In fact out friendship is really love/hate, we argue all the time and she claims my presence upsets her.
Anyway there's some weird rumor going around that she told someone that we would room together and she was going to strip for me.
How should I take this?

2 RespuestasThe only time I've had a rumor spread about me is when my 12 yr old friend (this was a few years ago) who claimed to be -blam!- by a girl of the same age at like 10, claimed to have had sex with multiple girls at 12, and so on. He said to a lot of people that I went around gossiping about him for no reason AT ALL. He also pointlessly lied about pretty much everything. Right now he currently is a wannabe playboy who thinks he can have any girl he wants and hits on [b]every[/b] girl yet every girl I talk to cringes at his name.

You could hope for a show I suppose. *Shrugs* I'm not one of those kids who gets rumors about him. The only things that are ever spoken about are my sense of humor (I'm still trying to figure out how I'm funny), and on occasion various things I do in my programming class.

A) she could be testing the waters to see what you think of that idea [spoiler]which may be just to see if you think of her that way, not necessarily bc she plans on stripping[/spoiler] B) if it is really love/HATE, she could be teasing you or about to make you the butt of a joke C) since your relationship is platonic, she could have thought you wouldn't think anything of it (or maybe she thought you wouldn't even hear it) and is saying it to make someone else jelly or something D) someone else made it up to mess with you E) I would eat some bamboo and wait in a tree until you have more information

Sometimes there are rumours about me. The only two I can think of off the top of my head were sexual exploits that never happened. So it's not exactly a [i]bad[/i] thing that people did believe them, but the situations could have been worse given the subject material.

No people don't. I think they already know how I get about that stuff and some of them are afraid of me. But I'm usually super quiet so I don't cause any interference with anything.
