how to get lots o' ascendent stuff?
I'm prime for upgrading lots of gear, but I never have any ascendent energy or shards. How can I get lots of this stuff?
NOTE: Yesterday I played on the moon for a while until a public event came, then I got something like a mote of light or some other non-ascendent thing. Today I wasted an hour on the moon before a public event finally happened, and I was about 2 or 3 seconds late to get there. I destroyed an exotic gun, only to get one of those exotic upgrade things (not the ascendent materials). I destroyed a legendary piece of armour and only got hadronic essence (which was unusual).
Where/how do I get ascendent materials?

1 RespuestaGo to the recruitment folder and start looking for a group to do The Vault of Glass. Let the group know it's your first time and you're learning it. They'll teach you eat part. One full run in the VOG can get you 10-12 ascendant materials (if you break down any armor/weapons you get). If you're a Lower level, the armor could also be good for you. The weapons you can earn are also very strong, even later in the game as 300 dmg.
