If your team consists of good players who can communicate there is no need for a gjallarhorn. I have beaten HM Crotas end 3 times this week. What people fail to realize is that the Hunger of Crota is just as good for the Crota encounter. Let me explain before everyone loses their sh*t. Gjallarhorn does an extreme amount of damage.. Yes, we all know that. But, the HoC is just as effective when shooting Crota to get him down during the final fight. Because the rocket explodes into clusters they all rain down on his feet, effectively doing the same as wolf pack rounds. You can also replace HoC with a Truth and be fine, but if using Truth, switch to primary and lay bullets down after firing first rocket. My group was able to beat Crota before spawning Ogres and it made it extremely easy. But, it required us to triple down him on the first swordbearer. Which requires a pretty skilled hunter to do so. I can explain if people would like, just comment and ask. IF YOU DO MAKE IT TO OGRE ROUND!!! DON'T FREAK OUT!! It is actually quite easy. The easiest way to take care of the Ogres is once you have the second sword disappear, aka after 4 or 5 crota downs, depending on if you got a triple down or not. Have your party split 3 and 3 into the rooms under boomers. You are able to stand on top of doors in the rooms to avoid Thrall and the Ogres will spawn in this room by walking out of the wall. Once they are visible they are vulnerable so you can stagger and kill Ogres before they even get a shot off. If you are on the left side room, if you are entering, be careful as Crota will be above you, so you might want to wait until he moves to exit the room. After you kill Ogres, it is a matter of getting one last Crota Cycle and you will have your ultimate victory. If you aren't aware already, Crota will enrage NO MATTER WHAT once his health is about 10-15%. At this point DO NOT SHOOT OVERSOUL, DO NOT SHOOT BOOMERS, and DO NOT SHOOT OGRES. EVERYONE SHOOT CROTA!! All you need to do is get him down one time when enraged and the swordbearer will be able to kill him. Go and claim your rewards guardians! Crota awaits you. Chewy
