Edit 3: My knowledge focuses more on the exotics because I feel the legendaries are just carbon copies of each other (except Fatebringer I feel it's perk combination make it an exotic.)

I just started getting into using Hand cannons, I feel I got a pretty sweet roll on mine(on my warlock) It's basically a scout rifle hand cannon, though I do wish third eye was a better perk. I have Thorn and Last Word which I do plan on Leveling to use in PVP, just my exotic slot is mostly reserved for my Gjallahorn in PVE, which is why I use the red hand.
