Here is what I have come to understand about having a good/bad kill:death ratio in the Crucible. Having a good KD responses: "Stop camping you scrub, the reason you do well is because you steal your teammates kills and don't play the objective!" "No one cares kid, shut up." "Quit bragging." "Good job you killed a bunch of Christmas noobs." "Try using _____ for once." Having a bad KD responses: "Stop playing the Crucible you drag the team down!" "Go buy some Dew and Doritos!" "You are trash!" "Thanks for losing the game for us!" "Come back when you stop sucking." Proposal to fix problem: Bungie just nerf KDR so everyone goes even. Problem solved.
