I'm a little of both I suppose.. If it's new or I'm not used to it then I like to take it slow and go completionist. If it's something I have down to a science then I see no reason to why you can't run through it just to get it done.
Anymore though I just follow the majority rules idea. It's called Co-op for a reason.
