Bungie loves that number, and nearly every hidden item in all of their games has to deal with 7. 7 Vidmasters, The 7th column, 7 steps to rule the world, 7 Halo rings, 7 terminals, and many more references throughout the company's history. That being said, it would be really hard to argue that there are not 7 chests in the VoG and the last one is still not found. My theory, in keeping with Bungie's unhealthy obsession with the number 7 is that there are seven steps to getting the final chest to spawn. I have no clue as to what those steps are, but I am sure they involve the number 7. I also believe that you may have to due certain things outside of the VoG for this chest to spawn. By outside I mean on a different mission or maybe even a different planet than Venus. My strongest idea is that all players must have completed the Nightfall before entering the raid and then proceed to open every chest prior to the seventh one, you must have one person sacrifice the second chest after the Templar and take the dummy chest. This person may get something awesome in chest 7. I also believe that this chest will spawn before the Atheon fight because the count down begins immediately after Atheon is brought down and 30 seconds may not be enough for everyone to loot the chest. Any ideas? If five people on Xbox One are willing to try this out we can set up a time and experiment.
