Now, I'm not saying this so that everyone should just go ahead and buy one of those chat devices you can attach to your controller but I think what this game really needs in terms of its MMO aspects is a public chat. I don't really agree with GTA's public chat system since it just tends to be a mess but I think that by adding a public chat system where players can type out messages to each other or even small selections for quick messages could be superhelpful. Of course, in terms of fireteams, you'd probably just use mics but in regards to larger areas perhaps while patrolling and such, proximity-based chatting can exist? I think especially in town this could be useful in trying to have players recruit others into fireteams as such and it could just add another cool social element to the game. It's just an idea but it probably has flaws. What do you guys think? Is there any way we could make something like this happen?
