How should society deal with pedophiles?
Pedophiles are a very widely hated kind of person in our society. Typically, when someone hears the word "pedophile", they often immediately associate it with the phrases "child molester", "rapist", etc. and form a mental image of a stereotypical pedophile despite the fact that they may not be any of these things and are just normal people unfortunate enough to have that particular attraction. They often immediately begin to hate the person regardless of who they are and deem anything they say irrelevant. The situation with pedophiles in most first-world countries today is almost something of a witch hunt. This problem of pedophilia needs to be addressed one way or another. So flood, what should we do with such a person? Should we punish them for their attraction? Should we accept them into society? Should we try and rehabilitate them? Should we just kill them all off for being something they were born as? What do you think we should do?

1 RespuestaI've read through some threads before regarding those who had pedophilia. Most of them said they wish they weren't that way and they were disgusted by it, but nonetheless they still felt that attraction. It's sad really. I don't know what the answer is, but I think the best we can do is punish those who act on it and especially those who distribute that porn and hope everyone else doesn't act on it. It's the same for zoophiles too. They didn't choose to be that way and many wish they weren't, but again who would really choose to be attracted to animals especially given the extreme social stigma associated with it? This is one time when I'll just say, I don't know the best answer.
