It astounds me.
No so much about the Chinese thinking that animal keratin has special magic properties.
But that the poachers themselves are so short sighted that they can not see that they will be out of a job and be getting no more money in the future if they kill of all the rhino species.

Then they moved on to the New World and killed off a bunch more species. Now that us Westerners have learned from our mistakes we try to force others to conform. While sad I don't really blame these people. They're just trying to make a living in a tough place and a rhino horn can bring in a lot of money.
