Eliminate the use of free email services for registration and you drastically reduce the alt problem in one motion. (Though there may be negative side effects that I'm not considering with this proposal) Alts used in fun don't really bother me. But impersonation and ban-dodging is a real issue. Even more so when people openly flaunt it by adding "banned" to their original names. But if we can notice the problem, so can the web team. And I don't see this being allowed to continue for too much longer. We'll just have to sit back and wait to see what the next update brings.
