Good games with terrible opening areas/stages
Some great games have opening areas or stages what just deter you from wanting to play the game as you have to through that shit to get to the good stuff.
Pic very related, I like KOTOR 2, but the opening area and the final area are just shit.

1 RespuestaExcellent thread. I cant think of a specific thing atm, but there is something that I generally do not like that many good games have in their opening sequences. I really HATE it when you can't skip the opening cutscene / tutorial / sequence etc etc. There are many times, usually in RPGs, where after playing the game for an hour or something I decide to restart the game and begin the character differently. Sometimes I do it 3 times, to try out the three styles (there ar e usually 3 it seems like) I want to be able to skip the cutscenes the second two times!
