Say that a bunch of kids get together every year and purposefully do everything they can to get on Santa's naughty list. They're of course given coal by Santa. They then give it to some guy who sells all the coal at a profit. He wins by having a coal industry, while the kids win by being paid in whatever he gives them that's worth everything they've done.
