I saw someone calling this a s hit post but we had this discussion in our Government class and 16 of the 25 students in my class agreed that "Free Speech is nice and all but only if it isn't offensive." Which frankly shocked the crap out of me. They advocated censorship for subject they deemed offensive. 12 students even said they'd support a law preventing religious activists from protesting publicly. 7 of the students also agreed that major news networks shouldn't be able to report "controversial" news. I will support free speech till my dying breath, which will probably be something along the lines of "the holocaust was a lie".
