Not much of a replacement for anything. However I'd like to have someone make a website, and place a digital counter inside the senate and house of representatives. On this website the public can vote in favor and against certain subjects (by subjects I mean bills, amendments being considered ect..) being pushed forward or being debated/refined. Essentially the public can select what they favor at all times, and whenever something is brought to the floor the digital counter will bring the current numbers up. Of course, you'd have to implement some sort of search feature if you want to find something specific or find a bill by its nickname. This will have no sway in the actual vote of the bill other than it simply being present to show the public's current opinion on certain issues.
