I mean there is already melee in it, the player stabbing a bunch of Fallen and instant killing them by either being a much higher level or hitting a critical area: neck/head/butt. And yeah Halo had instant kill melee but you had to punch them in the back. So they could not bring in melee weapons to make people aim for the "perfect" stab...shank...jab. Whatever.
