Recently, I've gotten into a debate with [url=http://www.bungie.net/7_leighmurbjj/en/view/profile/index#!page=index&mid=3955732]leighmurBJJ[/url] over whether or not the Pokemon games qualify as being classic games. He's arguing that the Pokemon games aren't classics because they're only played by "little ass kids", and because they're based off of "some weird-ass Japanese cartoon". I've argued that a game can't be dismissed because of it's inspiration and playerbase, but we're still at an impasse. Rather than just quarrel indefinitely, I thought it would be a better idea to ask you guys, the community, if you think the Pokemon games qualify as "classics".
