How do conjoined twins use the bathroom?

Can they even go at all? Man's greatest mystery.

 • I asked my friend and she linked me this:
If there wasn't an opening, the doctor would probably create one shortly after they were born leading from their intestines outward. If there wasn't any surgery, though . . . they'd probably be in the same situation as a jellyfish: the entry hole is the same as the exit hole. Their food would go in through their mouths, mix and digest in the stomach and intestines for a while, and then come back out their mouths again. It wouldn't be a very efficient system, since their recently eaten food would mix with the nutrient-depleted slop that had been wallowing in their system. Not to mention, you know, going to the bathroom out their mouths. Eww! As for having kids, if their midpoint is after the stomach, they wouldn't have a uterus. If they did it might not have an external opening. So if they could get pregnant they would need to have a C-section. But it would probably not be a good idea for them to have children themselves (adoption would be a better idea). Source(s): Biologist
