Dorner

After seeing how the LAPD is shooting up every truck in sight, there's a million dollar bounty, and drones are being called in, I got to thinking: Dorner will never go to trial. He won't be sentenced for his crimes, or get to explain himself to a judge, or even possibly get mental treatment. The LAPD will just kill him on the spot, even if he tries to surrender. They're too scared of this "dirty cop-killer" to let him live once they catch up to him. Thoughts?

  • I would be interested in seeing/knowing the makeup and command structure of the "task force" that has been put together to hunt for him. If this is an LAPD operation outside of their city limits, then I believe that the governor should step in an restructure the command chain and ensure that there is not a hint or possibility of impropriety or corruption in the task force. If the CHP or other organization has the structure and manpower to take command and integrate manpower from other forces, that would be a good thing. I also believe that the internal LAPD review of the subjects allegations should be partnered with DoJ in order to prevent or reduce any chances or accusations of a whitewash of cover-up.
