Special ammo week long modifier blocking guardian rank progression
The week long special modifier is blocking us from using famine modifiers which in turn is preventing us from progressing to guardian rank 8.
This change feels awful as I'm now timegated from levelling up for an entire week and now GR affects loot drops, I'm missing out on better quality gear for a whole week.
Many of my friends made it to GR 8 just before weekly reset so now I'm just hard stuck watching them progress as I'm helplessly stuck at 7

Hi there, Thanks for reaching out, and apologies for the inconvenience. The Special Surge event blocking progression of Guardian Ranks is not intended. We have flagged this with our designers and have confirmed that this is an unintended consequence of the Famine modifier not being able to be applied to the same activity as the Surge. Due to the setup of the event we are unable to quickly change that modifier to being selectable, however they are actively investigating if making this change to future, similar iterations of the event will be possible. Or if not, then they will pursue other mitigations to ensure that player progression is not blocked in the future.
