Hello, I’ve been farming Altars of Sorrow for the Bane of Crota Shell, and according to known drop mechanics, it should have either a ~5% chance to drop or be guaranteed after 40 final chest completions. However, I have far exceeded that requirement and still haven’t received it. Here’s what I’ve completed so far: 163 Tier V boss kills 307 total waves 1,000+ Nightmares defeated 75 perfect runs (no sacrifices at Tier V) By all indications, I should have received the Ghost by now. Bad Luck Protection Reset Clarification I originally thought there was speculation about the bad luck protection reset, but it has been confirmed by a Bungie community manager that obtaining either the Third Tide ship (Pit of Heresy) or the Bane of Crota Shell (Altars of Sorrow) resets the counter for the other item. However, I got the Third Tide ship when Shadowkeep launched five years ago, meaning my counter for the Ghost Shell has not been reset since then. The vast majority of my completions—especially the perfect runs—have been done this season. Request for Investigation Could Bungie please verify if: My completions have been counted correctly? The bad luck protection system is working as intended? There’s an issue affecting this drop in general? I submitted a support ticket, but was told to post here instead.
