Are the characters from Abuse (1996) in the public domain?
The wikipedia page says that specifically the shareware version of the game (without sound) is in the public domain, but does Bungie still own the right to the characters if they were to be used elsewhere?

Well I can’t find out for sure who specifically owns the rights to the game, but I can safely say that if you try and profit from someone else’s intellectual property, you may get sued. Though if all you want to do is create something for fun, then that’s perfectly fine.
