I’m an older gamer (60) and only have a few hours in the morning to play before work. I’m stuck on week 4 because I can’t complete “Starcrossed”. I started playing Halo with my son on the first Xbox and have continued thru the Halo series until they launched Destiny. I’ve played every season of both Destiny 1 & Destiny 2, but at this point I think this is my last season. The gameplay has gotten to complicated and my dexterity is just not good enough for some jumping puzzles and when you only have an hour or two to play (I’m married and this is the agreement I have with my wife). Getting to a point in the mission and not being able to respawn and having to start over is just wearing me out. I value my time, especially now that I’m getting older. I’ve been fine not playing Raids and Dungeons because I see that as advanced gameplay, but I’ve always enjoyed the storylines and campaign and it’s worth paying the $100 to complete. At this point it doesn’t look like I can continue. I was wondering if any others are struggling with this?
I'm hearing an awful lot of excuses and very few plans on how you're gonna improve babe.

Ok, I’ll bite. This forum thread is for feedback on gameplay and my feedback was that I’ve been blocked at week 4 because I haven’t been able to complete “Starcrossed”. I don’t care for difficult jumping puzzles or the need to start the whole thing over if you die or have to exit the activity because you need to sign off. I’m not suggesting that they make the content easier, just don’t block the story line for the casual gamer that purchased the campaign. There are several exotic activities in the game that I just don’t do and I’m fine with that. I’ve watched the videos on what it takes and decided that it’s not worth the time and effort. I’m just playing the game for fun. In the past I always preordered the DLC, but decided to hold off on the “The Final Shape” due to the frustrations I’ve mentioned above. At this point I will probably wait and see what the feedback is. The design decisions that they make will impact their customer base. It doesn’t do any of us any good if they start losing customers or can’t attract new ones. This isn’t about me getting better or complaining. I’m providing feedback on a forum. For every person that provides feedback there’s probably hundreds that don’t say anything and just walk away from the game.
I got that, the fact that you aren't good enough to do it isn't lost on me. I will say that I'm an absolute trash can at this game and I managed to do it solo, so there's hope for anyone. The real question is why don't you use in game LFG to make a team and finish it? The solution to your problem is literally a button click away.
I’m not suggesting that they make the content easier, just don’t block the story line for the casual gamer that purchased the campaign
. It's not blocked for casuals. It's blocked for people that aren't very good. I'm growing weary of people saying "I'm a casual" when what they should be saying is "I'm not very good".
There are several exotic activities in the game that I just don’t do and I’m fine with that. I’ve watched the videos on what it takes and decided that it’s not worth the time and effort.
Sounds like laziness to me babe.
I’m just playing the game for fun.
That's what we're all doing. It's just that some of us succeed and others don't.
In the past I always preordered the DLC, but decided to hold off on the “The Final Shape” due to the frustrations I’ve mentioned above.
The design decisions that they make will impact their customer base. It doesn’t do any of us any good if they start losing customers or can’t attract new ones.
This is true.
This isn’t about me getting better or complaining.
Could of fooled me. I will say that in the time it took you to write this you could have found two people to carry you and then never touch the mission again.
I’m providing feedback on a forum.
Yes. But you are also complaining. Two things can happen at once dear.
For every person that provides feedback there’s probably hundreds that don’t say anything and just walk away from the game.
More like thousands babe. Have you checked the charts lately.

Do you expect 60 year olds with families and lives to dedicate every waking moment like you more than likely do?
Do you expect 60 year olds with families and lives to dedicate every waking moment like you more than likely do?
Please point out where I said this. Because I never said this sweetie and if that's the conclusion you drew from what I was saying we have deeper issues to discuss. It only takes a slight adjustment and a little bit of drive to improve at this game. If you don't have those things to spare, maybe find a new hobby.

reality hurts.

Unwelcomed and unproductive feedback from you, per usual.... for many years now. I find you to be useless. Blocked.
-
blocked them? oh wow, you really gave it to them. childish to comment then block a person.
-
I don't even know who this person is, so I don't know why they'd think that I would care if the block me or not. I also don't know why people feel the need to tell me they're blocking me. Is that supposed to hurt my feelings?
-
You, and people like you deserve to be banned, not only blocked.

Care to elaborate on what "people like me" are like honey?
