So throughout Bloodborne’s base game, we are given some lore about Ludwig, the first(?) Hunter of the healing church. We know that Ludwig’s style of taking care of beasts in Yharnam is near the complete opposite than that of Gherman and the Workshop hunters (skill v STR, secretive vs mob justice). We also know that the holy moonlight sword is the basis of influence for Ludwig’s holy blade. Ludwig’s position in the healing church wasn’t that of Amelia, Lawrence, or Brador as they either turned into a cleric beast or something akin to a canine. That being said, were we given any explanation as to why Ludwig’s beast form took the form of a horse instead of, say, a wolf?
