The Silmarillion

It feels that the current overarching narrative may be taking inspiration from Tolkien’s “The Silmarillion”. This would mean further that the Witness maybe Melkor or Ungoliant. That would leave room for two more big bads in Morgoth and Sauron. We could even be entering the time with the black numenoreans with the deceit by Sauron against the Valar. Or maybe I am just a huge nerd and the fight of light vs dark is just similar across most franchises. Edit - this could also have been during the time of the great fall. It would be cool if Nezarec was actually Ungoliant and The Witness was Melkor.

  • It’s probably just using the OG storyline. The Witness took the place of most of the early references to what would of been assumed to be the Winnower. In the OG, there was only one deity and it was the source of both the Dark and Light. To stop the Darkness, we would have to sacrifice our Light. Some Lightbearers knew this and didn’t want to. So if the Winnower isn’t running the Dark side…where is it? Unveiling had a peculiar line. The Winnower mentions winning its fight against the Gardner and calls it a corpse but we all know it’s still alive. I’m thinking we are looking at a two faced God.
