So, from what I recall, Sparrow Racing hasn’t resurfaced partially because it wasn’t a very profitable event for how much went into it. I get that. Bungie is a business. They need to make money. But why do away with racing a sparrow all together? It is fun. The sparrow is an iconic symbol (its behind our guardian in our menu), we want to show it off. But fast travel kind of ruins the purpose of even having it. Why not have a special patrol from Amanda where she wants us to rev our engines? Make it so that a starting block hologram appears and once everyone in a fireteam enters the countdown begins. Have checkpoints that appear along the entire map and give special rewards based on the time, like spider bounties. make lower times the equivalent of heroic events. Have it so that you can see your friends times when going to Amanda. Bring back some of that fun/ life of being on patrol.
