As it currently sits there is no reason to use The Last Word outside of meming or roleplaying. There several guns that do Last Word's job better than last word. DMT hipfire would be one of them. In fact, even a semi-decent Fool's Remedy (https://www.light.gg/db/items/65611680/the-fools-remedy/) outperforms last word in their shared effective range. Now, before you people downvote, I'm not asking for the Last Word to get a cheap no-skill buff to let's say range or bullet magnetism. I agree that this gun shouldn't be able to be used past 25 meters and should require almost exclusively the player's aim to track and connect shots. However, the recoil of this gun is outrageous, even on mouse and keyboard. Not only is there no in-game way to reduce recoil or make it more vertical, but the in-game hipfire crosshair is not customizable and is complete dog-water for the precision aiming required to use this gun, on top of the unwieldy recoil. TLDR: We need customizable hipfire crosshairs, recoil reduction armor mods for weapons, or a recoil reduction to The Last Word to make it a more viable option compared to other weapons that play in the same role.
