Usage of VPN in PVP(Comp and Trials)
Hello, I was wondering if using a VPN (NordVPN for example) is a bannable offense in PVP, especially in Competetive and Trials? I've read stuff about there being a lot of DDosers and a VPN supposedly helps against DDos attacks.

Technically you can't be DDOSed when playing via Steam. Last year D2 switched over to Steam Sockets which are addressed by using their Steam ID. The only IP that you can see is the Steam entry point that you can DDoS until you turn blue. It would require some very advanced knowledge to hack into Steam's services. The match will be long time over before you can identify the right socket and extract players IP numbers.

Using a VPN will not get you banned. I use ExpressVPN 95% of the time while playing and have never had an issue.

On Steam DDosing is not possible.
