returning as founder for clan
I wanted to make my buddy and I the top members of my clan and promoted him to founder and I was demoted to admin. he is no longer active and I want full control back of my clan. Is there any way to return as founder?

Unfortunately, only the one with Founder status can give others the Founder status, such as what you did. Your options are to either continue with the clan as-is, try and get in touch with the Founder, or to create a new clan. Bungie will not move Founder status from one profile to another, even if the profile was previously the Founder.
