Black Talon's catalyst provides a perk "Reversal" whereby quickly blocking damage increases the damage of the heavy attack "Crow's Wings". The problem is that blocking damage costs sword energy now, and having reduced sword energy reduces the damage on heavy attacks. On this Cabal lost sector boss, a normal heavy attack deals 2 hits of 9,304 damage, 18,608 total: [url]https://imgur.com/q5IwODB[/url] Activating "Reversal" and performing the same attack results in a single yellow hit of 9,350 meaning half the damage: [url]https://imgur.com/OxbXniZ[/url] This is a crushing nerf for the sword. The discrepancy between the single and double hits is probably a bug, but the anti-synergy with Reversal is probably an unintentional result of the new sword energy mechanics. This needs a change. I suggest giving the Black Talon a refund of sword energy on Reversal activation.
