Hello. Was this on Xbox? Your characters there are only missing exotics that are acquired through raids and quests, or were introduced with the annual pass content, none of which can be received from Fated Engrams. You can purchase exotics for a different class directly from Xûr, but engrams in general will always give you gear for your current class.

As an example, if you are on a Warlock, Xur won't give you an Insurmountable Skullfort.  Additionally, you cannot get exotics that are tied to events/quests such as Truth or Outbreak Perfected.
